At Direct Digital Holdings (“DDH”) transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct are at the core of our company's values and we have worked diligently to build a reputation based on doing what's right.
To that end, we are writing to inform you of a significant step we are taking to protect our company's interests and integrity. Today May 14th, 2024, Colossus SSP filed a lawsuit against Adalytics for defamation and other related causes of action regarding the recent publication of a false and inaccurate paper that maligned our company. Unfortunately, as described in the lawsuit, this behavior by Adalytics is consistent with its public record of prioritizing attention and headlines over accurate analysis in order to achieve its own financial gains.
Subsequent media coverage based upon Adalytics’ post has further misrepresented the facts and helped to create a false narrative about Colossus SSP rather than addressing systemic challenges throughout the ad tech supply chain. These broader systemic issues are well documented and will require an industry-wide holistic approach to adequately resolve.
However, make no mistake, as an organization we have always worked with our partners to quickly address any technological challenges as they arise and will continue to do so. Furthermore, Colossus SSP has always been diligent when it comes to quality and transparency, working with HUMAN, Confiant, MOAT and other trusted industry partners to ensure that it meets the highest standards in supply.
Given the implications to business and our reputation, it was imperative for us to take a stand against this targeted attack and hold Adalytics accountable for their irresponsible and illegal actions.
As this matter unfolds, we will continue to provide timely and accurate information to our investors, stakeholders and the public, in order to preserve the value and integrity of DDH and Colossus SSP.
